How to Place An Order
  1. How do I place an order?

    1. Select the product that you wanted to purchase. Click "Add to Basket" corresponding to the selected product at the Category Page or at the bottom of the Product Page, enter the item quantity and click “Add to Basket.”  

    2. Go to your Shopping Basket by clicking “View Basket” at the upper right hand corner of the page.

    3. If you’re not yet registered, enter your personal details such as address, email, name and contact information. It is recommended that you register in our site so that future orders would be easier. However, it's not a requirement and you may still be able to purchase even without registering in our website.

    4. Select the delivery option. "Self-collection/Local pick-up" is available for those who prefer to collect the item in our office (Address: 10 Anson Road #24-09, International Plaza, Singapore 079903) once the order is available. For delivery to home or office address, please select "Courier Delivery." This is for a flat rate of $20 to any Singapore address.

    5. If purchasing in connection with a promotion and a promo code has been provided to you, enter the promo code at the bottom of the order page and click “Apply Changes.” This will automatically deduct discount from the invoice price.
    6. Read the Terms and Conditions link (if you have not already done so) and tick the small box to signify agreement to our terms of sale.
    7. Click on the “Place Order Now” link which appears thereafter. This will go the payment page. Then follow steps below depending on the method of payment to use:


    8a. If you intend to pay via bank transfer/deposit, Select “Bank Transfer” option and enter any delivery notes or comments (such as the date and time you’re able to collect from our Ubi office, or preferred timing of delivery if courier is  included.)
    8b. Click “Make Payment” link at the bottom of the page. This will display the invoice with your order information and our details of our bank accounts to use. You may choose to print this page for reference.
    8c. Initiate the bank transfer to our designated DBS account then notify us when the transfer is done by sending the following details – date and time, name of bank, amount and transaction reference number. We will then proceed to verify the transaction and issue a confirmation receipt to your email. 


    9a.  Select the “Paypal” option.  (Please note that this option will require an additional 5% on top of the invoice price to cover the credit card/Paypal processing fees and handling charges.)  You’ll then be directed to the secure Paypal website where you can proceed with checkout after logging in to your Paypal account.  If you don’t have a Paypal account, select the Credit Card option at the bottom left of the page.
    9b. Continue with the required information to complete the Paypal checkout. Note: There are some cases wherein credit card payments are rejected by Paypal. The card transactions are processed by Paypal and undergoes their fraud verification process. This part is beyond our control. If unsuccessful, we suggest to try the transaction again; there will be an automated email from Paypal that payment was sent once it is successful.
    That’s it! You’ll then receive an email confirmation that amount was received. Please allow 4-5 working days for us to process the order and we will let you know as soon as it’s available for pickup. 
    You may keep track of the status of your order by logging in to your account and the select “Order History” and then choose the order number and click “View Order.” We will send automated email notification as soon as the status of the order changes. We will also update you periodically as to the status of the order via sms or email.
    Once you receive an sms or an email notification that the order ready for collection or status is “Awaiting Pickup,” you may now collect the item from our office location. Instruction on how to collect will be given in the email notification.
    During collection, you may inspect the item first or try it with your camera/lens unit before acceptance. We will replace the product or refund the initial payment in case of any manufacturer defects.   


    Note: As of January 15, 2012, "Pay on Delivery/Collection" option is no longer available. This will enable us to process only confirmed orders and minimize stocking costs that we incur when we get orders from our website but does not get collected. Items will still be subject to full inspection and testing by our customers during collection, and we will replace the unit in case of any product defects reported to us within 30 days. If the item that you ordered is not available from our supplier, we will inform you of the same and confirm whether you're willing to wait for one week until stock is available or cancel the order with full reimbursement.


  2. How can I track my order?

    We will email you a tracking number as soon as it's available. You can track your order by logging in to your account and clicking the "Track Orders" link or alternatively, you can track your parcel online via Singpost.

  3. Are transactions in your website secure?

    At Techno Gadgets, we make every effort to ensure that your online purchasing experience is secure. We use state-of-the-art data encryption technology to protect against loss, misuse or alteration of your user information. Secure Socket Layers (SSLs) encrypts the information sent between your computer and our database, and is certified by RapidSSL, a globally-trusted SSL Security Certificate Provider. We utilize RapidSSL's 256-bit SSL encryption in secure pages of our website, for optimum security. In addition, we utilize Paypal’s secure payment gateway subject to their internet fraud screening to protect credit card transactions. 

    To be sure you're browsing secure pages, check your Web browser's status bar (located beside the address bar at the top) for the closed padlock icon. This icon appears beside the address bar or at the bottom of your browser to tell you that you're viewing a secure Web page. All browsers also display an "s" after the "http" (https://..) in the Web site address to indicate you're in a secure environment.
